History

Blue Sky Woodworks, Inc. (BSW) began over two decades ago as a commercial contracting firm meeting the needs of one main client, The Bon Marché (known today as macy*s). The Bon Marché, at that time, consisted of 45 department stores across five states in the Northwest region of the United States.

BSW became a licensed General Contractor primarily to offer our clients full turnkey capabilities. For many years we focused on completing major remodels and renovations (tenant improvements) within the department stores, while simultaneously fabricating store fixtures & counters to install in conjunction with the onsite/in-store construction.

BSW offers full construction management for turnkey projects and works with licensed and insured contractors to prepare the site whether the shop is within a retail store like Neiman-Marcus or as a stand-alone store.

Although we often perform full turnkey installations, we focus the majority of our attention on engineering, fabricating, and installing high-end cosmetic counters for upscale stores across the United States (including Hawaii), Canada and South America.

We have grown to be a medium-size producer with a work force of 20 employees – our size is one of our greatest assets. By not being a high volume manufacturer, we are able to take great pride in our craftsmanship and ability to produce unique custom designed counters of the highest quality for our clients.

BSW now has an extensive client base including Giorgio Armani Cosmetics, Chanel, Christian Dior Cosmetics, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom & Saks Fifth Avenue, just to name a few. We are proud to stand behind our hard work that earned us the privilege of gaining their trust and continued business.
