Blue Sky Woodworks, Inc. (BSW) began in 1985 as a commercial contracting firm meeting the needs of one main client, The Bon Marché (known today as Macy’s). The Bon Marché, at that time, consisted of 45 department stores across five states in the Northwest region of the United States.
BSW became a licensed General Contractor primarily to offer our clients full turnkey capabilities. For many years we focused on completing major remodels and renovations (tenant improvements) within the department stores, while simultaneously fabricating store fixtures & counters to install in conjunction with the onsite/in-store construction.
BSW offers full construction management for turnkey projects and works with licensed and insured contractors to prepare the site whether the shop is within a retail store like Neiman-Marcus or as a stand-alone store.
Although we often perform full turnkey installations, we focus the majority of our attention on engineering, fabricating, and installing high-end cosmetic counters for upscale stores across the United States (including Hawaii), Canada and South America.
We have grown to be a medium-size producer with a work force of 30 plus employees – our size is one of our greatest assets. By not being a high volume manufacturer, we are able to take great pride in our craftsmanship and ability to produce unique custom designed counters of the highest quality for our clients.
BSW now has an extensive client base including CHANEL, DIOR, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani Beauty, YSL Beauty, and others. USA Stores approved and work within, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, & macy*s. Canadian stores approved and worked within, Nordstrom, The Bay Stores, and Holt Renfrew.
